AuthentiCheck Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
AuthentiCheck checks whether media or text is likely authentic or synthetic.
The Chrome extension and mobile app send scan requests to our Cloudflare Worker API.
What we collect
- A random device token stored on your device. It is not your name, email, or Google account.
- Scan metadata: authenticity score, reasons, analyzer name, source URL or filename, and timestamp.
- Files or URLs you choose to scan. File bytes are sent to the classification provider (currently Hive) and are not stored in our database.
What we do not collect
- We do not require an account.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not keep copies of uploaded images, audio, or video after the scan response is returned.
History
Recent scan results are stored so you can reopen them. History is scoped to your device token,
not shared with other users.
Third parties
Classification may be performed by Hive or a configured detection adapter. Those providers
process the media you submit in order to return a score.
